Description

This soft and lightweight dog pullover is made from approximately 250 g/m² 100% Merino wool fleece. The fabric is smooth on the outside and wonderfully soft and fleecy on the inside, providing natural warmth without being overly thick or heavy.

Merino wool is naturally breathable and temperature-regulating, helping your dog stay comfortably warm while allowing excess heat and moisture to escape. This makes the pullover especially suitable for autumn, spring and milder winter days.

The pullover features an attached scarf-style collar, which provides additional warmth and protection around the neck while creating a cozy and distinctive look. As the scarf is sewn directly to the pullover, it stays comfortably in place and does not need to be worn separately.

The edges are finished with 400 g/m² 100% Merino wool ribbing. The soft and stretchy ribbing helps the garment fit comfortably against the body while allowing freedom of movement.

Merino wool is naturally moisture- and odor-resistant, making it a practical and comfortable choice for everyday wear.

Wool clothes are a staple for the autumn, winter, and spring months, but they often have a reputation for being tricky to clean. The good news is that washing wool jumpers is easier than you might think, especially when you use the correct techniques and suitable laundry detergents. Here’s our guide to washing wool both effectively and efficiently. Merino wool naturally resists odors and dirt, so frequent washing isn't necessary. Its self-cleaning properties allow the fabric to stay fresh with just a simple airing out between uses. When washing is required, follow the care instructions to maintain its quality.

What temperature to wash wool?

As a general rule, wool clothes should be washed at 30 degrees or less.

How to wash wool in the washing machine?

Wool sweaters can be safely laundered in the washing machine by using gentle detergents and settings that mimic the delicate nature of hand washing.

  • Place the wool jumper in the machine and add a mild Special Wool Detergents
  • Select the hand wash or wool cycle on your machine. This setting will automatically use cooler temperatures and a slower spin to minimize the risk of damaging the fabric.
  • After washing, always dry the sweater flat to maintain its shape and prevent stretching.

How to wash wool by hand?

Since wool is such a delicate fabric, many people prefer to hand wash their wool jumpers rather than using a washing machine. Both methods are effective, so it ultimately comes down to personal preference. If you choose to hand wash, follow these steps:

  • Fill a tub with warm (not hot) water and add a gentle laundry detergent suitable for delicate fabrics, such as Persil Silk & Wool or Woolite Delicate. Liquid detergents are ideal for this purpose.
  • Submerge the wool jumper and gently agitate the water, being careful not to stretch the fabric. Let it soak for about 10 minutes.
  • To remove excess water, roll the jumper into a ball and gently press – avoid wringing the wool as it can distort the shape of the garment.
  • Empty the soapy water and refill the tub with clean, fresh water for rinsing. Swish the jumper around gently to remove soap residue.
  • Rinse the jumper with clean water as many times as necessary until all traces of detergent are gone.
  • Always dry the jumper flat to maintain its shape and prevent stretching.

IMPORTANT: Never hang wet sweaters vertically on cloth line, chair etc. because the material will stretch.
